The New Orleans Bowl is a post-season college football bowl game certified by the NCAA that has been played annually at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana from 2001 to 2004. It is now played between the conference champion of the Sun Belt and a team from Conference USA.

Due to damage by Hurricane Katrina to the Louisiana Superdome, where the game is usually played, the 2005 game was played on December 20 in Lafayette, Louisiana at Cajun Field on the campus of University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and was dubbed the New Orleans Bowl at Lafayette. The game returns to the Superdome on December 22, 2006. The game will feature Troy, co-champions of the Sun Belt Conference facing Rice, making their first bowl game visit in 45 years, their last appearance being the 1961 Bluebonnet Bowl.

BYU at Oregon

The Pioneer PureVision Las Vegas Bowl is an NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A post-season college football bowl game that has been played annually at 40,000-seat Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada since 1992.

During the 15th Annual Pioneer Pure Vision Las Vegas Bowl, Fans can experience the hype and excitement of the day's match up between the Oregon Ducks and the BYU Cougars during the official Bud Light Pre-Game Tailgate Party taking place on game day between 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Star Nursery Fields located on the North side of Sam Boyd Stadium.

East Carolina at South Florida

Papajohns.com Bowl (formerly known as the Birmingham Bowl) is a post-season NCAA-sanctioned Division I-A college football bowl game that will be played annually at the historic 71,594 seat Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Big East and Mid-American conferences will provide a team in alternating years with the Big East supplying the 2006 participant. In the event that a qualifying team cannot be provided, a MAC team will be selected instead. The inaugural game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, December 23 2006 and will be broadcast on ESPN2 with East Carolina from C-USA taking on South Florida from the Big East.

New Mexico Bowl

San Jose State at New Mexico

The New Mexico Bowl is a NCAA sanctioned post-season bowl game scheduled to be played on December 23, 2006 at University Stadium on the campus of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The game between teams representing the Mountain West Conference and the Western Athletic Conference will be televised on ESPN. This will be the first bowl game to be played in New Mexico. It will feature the the host school, representing the MWC facing San José State from the WAC.

Armed Forces Bowl

Utah at Tulsa

The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl is an annual postseason college football bowl game that was inaugurated in 2003 as the Fort Worth Bowl. The game is played in the 46,000-seat Amon G. Carter Stadium on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, featuring a team from Mountain West Conference. The bowl's partnership with the Big 12 Conference ended with the 2005 season; in 2006 and 2008 the game will feature a team from Conference USA against a team from the MWC. The Pac-10 will send a team to play the MWC in 2007 and 2009.This year fans can enjoy the match up between the Tulsa and Utah Teams.
